On 26 November, the first Sustainable Leaders’ Summit will gather stakeholders to discuss the role leaders and managers play in the sustainable transformation of the European economy. The unprecedented sustainability challenges call for a new type of leadership to create long-term value for people and planet. Business-as-usual is no longer an option at this time of crisis. The conference is organised by CEC European Managers in the context of its EU project on Sustainable Leadership. We are looking forward to meeting you online or on-site.

Tripartite Social Summit: assuming responsibility
During his speech at the Tripartite Social Summit, President Maxime Legrand called for better synergies within EU policy-making to achieve Europe’s ambitions for 2030. The European Green Deal and digital agenda require more responsibility in leadership and a better involvement of stakeholders and social partners. “For the transitions to be effective, permanent and well accepted by the whole of the society, it will have to respect and foster social cohesion, mobilize all available energies and include all diversities” said Maxime Legrand, President of CEC European Managers.

Building bridges to the future: CEC celebrates 70 years
In Lyon, CEC European Managers celebrated 70 years of history at its triannual congress. Together with the new leading team, European delegrates discussed the role managers play in the Conference on the Future of Europe process launched to renew European democracy. For CEC, the involvement of managerial stakeholders in policy-making, social dialogue and civil society is important in the face of today’s challenges. In fact, it has been since 1951 that managers in Europe have come together to contribute to the European integration process. Back then, the Italian, French and German confederations of managers had established CEC’s predecessor.
