She called on the Minister to ensure that administrative managers at the Farnesina have concrete opportunities for career development.

Emphasizing the unique traits that unite leaders and managers regardless of their legal status or job functions, Di Iasi stressed the necessity of providing safeguards for minority managerial components within administrations characterized by diverse legal regimes. These safeguards are essential to guarantee career advancement opportunities for all managers.

In her address to Minister Zangrillo, Dr. Di Iasi advocated for methods to obtain general managerial qualifications that, while different from the competition focused on technical knowledge, still uphold the transparency and impartiality that the competitive selection process inherently ensures. She underscored the need to avoid the high level of discretion that characterizes current selective procedures, which often lead to cooptation by political bodies.

This meeting marks a significant step in addressing managers’ concerns within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. By fostering an environment of open dialogue and commitment to modernization, both Ministers Tajani and Zangrillo demonstrate their dedication to advancing the public administration sector.
